Just a tease here but my buddies 455 HO is built, dyno'd and ready to be picked up at some guys house by the name of Jensen I think
. It's for a GTO, not a bird. I hear it is strong We are cleaning up the engine bay, underside, setting up rearend with new gear and replacing parts that need it and will be ready for some pure stock racing this year.

Well, I can not find the email with the exact dyno numbers but I can tease you with that it is north of what Mark W. said back several pages ago that a strong 455 HO motor makes and north of what a certain SD motor of Paul Aragona's that he built last year. His GTO is an auto car.

I went back and looked to refresh my memory and Aragona's motor was making 534lbft at 3300 and 420hp at 5000 so it sounds like the new maxed out HO made in excess of 535lb.ft. of torque and 421hp? Would love to see the dyno sheet or know the numbers at various rpm to see how the whole curve looks. I'm continually amazed by how much power these relatively stock motors are putting out and at factory type rpm levels, congrats to you guys for pushing the limits on both these motors.

. I am amazed also. The NHRA allowances really give this motor some help, not to mention the 2 1/2 inch exhaust system upgrade and with much better repro bias ply tires and a glued track they can lay down some fantastic times. Even with his motor being close to maxed out it was dyno'd with pump gas!Jody
