I just received the latest issue of Muscle Car Review. There is a Brewster Green '73 SD TA/saddle custom interior with 12,000 miles featured in that issue. It was bought new in Santa Monica, California. It's completely original, and owned by a collector in Florida. It says the owner acquired it 3 years ago, but I don't remember it being advertised. Is anyone familiar with this car?

Am I correct in assuming that if one doesn't have the build sheet for a '74 T/A, there's no way to know if the car was originally equipped with Rally II or Honeycomb wheels?

I realize that it's been discussed here before, but was there ever a definitive answer?

Hi Loyd:

The build sheet is your best bet to find that out, but since you do not have it, you might try PHS to see if the window sticker says anything because my window sticker DOES specify the tires, rims, and rim trim

Nothing on the PHS invoice on mine, Youssef. Window sticker simply indicates that Rally II's were standard equipment on a T/A.

Would that indicate that my SD was originally equipped with Rally II's?

Without question, the invoice does not tell you if a 73 or 74 TA came with Rally II or Honeycomb wheels. It also does not list 4-speed or Turbo-hydramatic. These were no-cost options and do not appear on the invoice.

The elusive build sheet will answer these questions and others. Unfortunately, they are rarely found in the car.

I am not absolutely certain, but I believe the window sticker does not show Honeycombs or Turbo-hydramatic either. I would have to find one of my copies to confirm.

You are correct on both counts. Build sheet is the only way to verify wheels and transmissions.

I know of one in miami but it has black interior
