Holly Cow, the minutes must be like hours at this point. Hang in there good buddy your wheels are right around the corner!
If you where close by I'd be there with a band to celebrate the arrival. Those tire pictures scare me three, and hopefully no one has any problems in the future! Enjoy and keep us up to date on the delivery status. Brew |

There's not a LOT of choices with the 255/60 size. I've had good service out of the Eagle GT II's on my Formy. If I have any doubts about the BFG's on the SD, I'll most likely pony up for a set of Goodyears.
However, I see that MT now offers 255/60 ET Street radials, so I might purchase a pair of those and a pair of Goodyears.

No more BFG's for me. The handing has never been that good........more looks than "engineering".
I'm going with the new firestone indy's with "uni-t" design, and white letters.

Got to my shop a tad early this morning, just in case TST happened to arrive early. No such luck - so here I sit - here on "pins and needles" . . .

fwiw my bfg's were '98s, blew out in early '07. I still am amazed by that given all the ancient crap tires i've run on various cars over the years and never had a sidewall failure or belt delamination even when i'd run them down to where the steel belts were peeking through. (young, dumb and lucky i guess) One side bubbled out just like the pics on the previous page, the other side the belting separated diagonally and peeled right off the top of the tire.

Still "relaxing", Youssef, LOL!
Actually, I got a call from the driver team this morning, delivery is scheduled tomorrow morning at 10:00. They had mentioned Tuesday to Gary, but I'll bet they got a call for another pickup somewhere along the way.

that is not a laughing matter. it happened to me when i had my 74 4 speed sd delivered to me. the guy didnt show when he was supposed to on a friday. i couldnt get a hold of him all weekend. he shows up and wont let me get in it until i paid him for the delivery and then he rolled it out of the truck without starting it and literally took off immediately. long story short, he spent the weekend thrashing it and busted the original trans, it had rubber covering the rear quarters behind the wheels. the rear tires were shreaded really badly. the shipping company said they were really sorry and felt bad, but i should read the fine print in the contract where they basically had the right to contract with anyone they wanted to haul the car and were not liable for any damage while not in their possession. sometimes it pays to go ahead and go with the big name high dollar carriers.

Thats a haunting story and hope no one has to go through something like that again. I would have gone hunting for the driver but easier said then done.
TODAY IS THE DAY LLOYD, hope you where able to sleep last night and that camera is all charged up ? Are you at work already sweeping the floor for its arrival ?? Enjoy your day and please do share some of it with your fellow car crazy bud's. Best of luck, Brew |
