Gregg, it's a different part. The SD pull-off operates much faster than the non-SD versions.

Thanks for the info, any idea what the correct part number is for this 73 sd choke pull-off? Does it have a part#? Is it a different number for auto vs. manual? I appreciate it mucho.

Chapman? What's chapman? A brand name for alarms? I've seen the auto dimmer car also, and it's just as you describe. If you find a picture, I'd love to have a copy.

Steve, I'll bet you are right.

No sign of a power antenna (or any antenna), but the quarter isn't original either. Was a power antenna available as factory option in 74? If so, wouldn't it show up on PHS? Same question for the body side moldings and door edge guards. Would either show up on PHS? I'm thinking that at least the door edge guards would, but all these options could have been easily added somewhere along the line, especially since the car was owned by the owner of the dealership that sold it.

From the NOS box I have, it says 7041075.
