Default Another option

Here's what I've done in the past

1--> Start with a thin piece of cardboard larger than your emblem
2--> Push emblem posts through cardboard and slide cardboard so that the back of emblem rests on the cardboard
3--> Take a pen, sharpie or a pencil and trace around the emblem on the cardboard
4--> Remove emblem from cardboard and cut out the shape on the cardboard with a pair of scissors. Now you have a template (with holes).
5--> Place template in the desired location and mark your holes for drilling
