96 Chevy S-10 Auto Trans Help Needed
Hi, I have a 96 chevy s-10 with 88,000 miles it started to shift goofy only when it is very humid or after we have rain. I shifts bad in the morning, but when I leave work to come home it drives fine, like nothing is wrong.
It seems like it is taking a few seconds to fully engage the 1-2 and 2-3 shifts it feels like it slips a little, after the truck warms up it gets better.
If it is warm & dry for a few days in a row I have no problem with it at all.
If it was something mechanical I would guess it would do it all the time so I'm guessing it is computer or electrical related due to it being affected by the weather?
Any Ideas where to look first? I checked the wires and grounds and all look to be OK.
I dont know how to have a garage or trans shop test it if I cant predict when it will shift bad based on the weather.
Thanks for the help, Jason
