I remember a guy in the early 1990s, I believe, who would look for foreign cars to destroy. He would do everything possible to wreck 'em even dropping huge weight on them. He was on the national news and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing loser Hondas and Toyotas demolished.

I have thought of another few. I've broken crank shafts on my street cars ( 455s) and they still ran and drove me home. didn't need a hook.

another interesting purchase about 10 years back. Got a call from a guy who wanted to sell me his '79 301 4spd Formula. He said it runs but has 2 rods sticking out of the pan. I thought to myself, yeah, sure it does.
Well, when I went there to buy it, sure enough, #1 and #2 rod were sticking out of the pan and I started it up and drove it on the trailer. Later, I drove it down the road, put it through all 4 gears to check the condition of the trans. It vibrated like crazy but, that little 301 would not die. I still have to this day here at Pontiac Heaven.

Another time I bought an Electra 225 from an impound yard to part out and to mess with. I decided to power brake it to smoke the RR tire. then I decided to smoke it until something let go. I just sat their, Q-jet sucking air on top of that 455, tire smoking incredibly then.. the tire let go! it took out a good part of the quarter panel too! From inside the car it sounded like a bomb. It was quite startling.

In a full on rage about the speedocable coming loose for the 4th time on a old Mini Cooper I oned a few years ago , I speeded over 5 speedbumps with the revcounter showing 5000rpm in 3th gear equaling about 55 mph.

It must have been 2.5 feet in the air every bump I hit , boy what a rush

I scared the bejesus out of guy walking his dog in the same street.

The Mini was toast after that so I scrapped it.
