Working on the gas tank. I am using an Aeromotive A1000 Fuel Pump, mounting to the front of the gas tank using some square metal stock and attaching hardware. Also painted the tank too.

Installed the gas tank with new holding straps with the rubber install kit.
Painted my drag shocks. Installed the pinion snubber. Was going to put on the lower shock bolt but too little clearance to get it on with the tires on. Cleaned my upper shock mounts and need new hardwaware to reinstall them. |

I sprayed some of the Aerosol Can 2K (2 component) Epoxy Primer on the Drivers Side rocker panel. This stuff sprayed just like my spray gun, nice fan and no spatter at all. This was the first time I tried it and I am impressed with it, especially for small areas, less cleanup this way. A little pricey though. I will perform the chip test in a few days.
Mounted the VFN Fiberglass rear bumper, the fit looks very good. I did have it on the car before the complete back half was changed. I guess the panels were lined up pretty good. I also found an original trunk lid and primed it black, to be bolted on by the weekend. ENGINE UPDATE: The 455 block is at the machine shop for a freshening up - Hone, Rings and bearings. Keeping the domed pistons and 11 to 1 for compression. I received my stainless SI Valves also, to replace my RAIV valves in my 72'7F6'Heads - I will have the valve springs checked when there at the machine shop too. Painted the passenger side rocker with Epoxy Primer.
Removed the front nose so I could get the frame and firewall stripped. Plan on filling some firewall holes with weld, then paint it completely. All the metal looks great. |

I finished priming the front subframe and was able to use my new Ryobi Caulking gun, worked great. I am using Fusor 103EZ Black Seam Sealer. Primed part of the firewall too.

The underside of the car, front subframe, Firewall and Tulips are now painted in Extreme Chassis Black. I removed all the old seam sealer too and reapplied Fusor 103EZ. The firewall is all taped off do to interior painting.

I painted the trunk with "The Parts Place" Trunk Paint, Black Aqua, I may have mixed it too much, very little aqua flakes show on the final paint.
These pictures look lighter than it really is. The texture looks good and its rock hard. So I ordered another quart to lightly spray over my mishap. |
