I believe the proform products are pretty decent and the procomp stuff is really marginal, some say total junk.
you would have gotten the same good results replacing the cheap knockoff dist with a $40 junkyard Delco Remy HEI or even a good points dist. What you probably got for your money that impresses you besides a good rebuilt hei is a well curved timing program as you mentioned. Was it curved to your car and not just generic? I bet it was. IMO, Money well spent. |

Yes the timing curve was recurved to my engines cubic inches and compression ratio and cam specs and final gear ratio. Best single improvement done - better than the AM FM conversion and the Vintage air system...
