This is what happens when accountants instead of car guys run an auto company.

I am deeply saddened. My '99 Bonneville just rolled over 193K. I may just keep it forever now.

Couldn't agree more. If the members on this forum ran Pontiac, they would challenge Chevy for GM sales leadership.

Not running for moderator. That job is handled well by others on this forum. You think PY members would do worse than dumb Lynn Myers, former Pontiac GM, who canceled the Bonneville, Grand Am, and Grand Prix among other mistakes?

Unfortunately quite a few vocal PY'ers have their heads firmly stuck in 1970 - and that does not translate well when selling new cars, or anything else.

I do not agree one bit with Ms. Myers decisions regarding these storied nameplates, but it may not have been her's to make. GM had a legendarily Byzantine bureaucracy in the 60's - I shudder to think what it is like now...
