Here's a picture of the head, valve bowl area cleaned up and valve job performed.
Still need a little more work before reassembly. |

I got my heads back from R&L today. The ports look really good and the flow has now been corrected and increased. Thanks to LEO at R&L and Len Caverly for their help on these old heads.

My 455 block has finally been rebuilt by Lawrence Crankshaft.
I should be able to pick it up this weekend. Honed, new bearings, turned crank. |

My Brother Ed and I started to get the engine back together. Cleaning out all the threads to get ready to install the ARP Head Studs. Twist them in until they bottom out, then loosen a 1/4 turn. Molly lube is used on all the threads. More assembly today.

We did find out that my new louvered CANTON Windage Tray doe not fit with my aluminum rods. The lower 2 louvers need to be modified. |

We installed the Solid Roller Cam this weekend. We are going to degree the cam in next.
