Chris-

I just thought of something for you. Each State has a Department if Insurance and Commerce(at least TN they are combined).. Call the Florida Dept of Ins/Commerce and file a complaint. This falls under the commerce definition and they can be quite persuasive if teh seller doesn't work with you. I still say check the hidden VIN..The engine is just so sloppy, I would have to see it before I waould be comfortable-but that is my..I am suspicious by nature... Calling the Dept. of Commerce couldk save you hiring an attorney, who will take betwen 1/3-1/2 of whatever you get(legal crooks...) I used this with an Insurance Company years ago and with in 2 days I had an apology call and my check overnighted.. Just a thought...

I'll look into that tomorrow. It all depends on the seller at this point. He can make this easy and refund the cost of a YZ block and PQ trans or buy his car back and find another sucker on ebay

Holy Crap !! Did this car have a vinyl top when it was gold ?? You said this guy is from Apopka,Fl yes ?? If so, i have driven this car before, it used to belong to a friend of mine some years back. If it's the same car, the original 400 r/a III engine was removed and put on a stand, then a 428 was built with 670 heads. The car ran pretty good to. I can contact my friend and see what info he has on the motor and let you know what he says. No BS, i really think this may be the same car, and i'm pretty sure i know of Jack too, not a friend, but i know him. He actually set up a parts booth at the Old Town Pontiac show we just had, he was right beside my CV-1 booth. I'll need more info on the car to be certain, but i think it's the same car & guy.

I have NO doubt whatsoever that my engine and trans with matching VIN are in his garage and most likely installed in his 70 TA already. look for 110947. If it's there and I recover my property I'll pay you $1k cash...a lot more if I don't have to recover it myself. Legally it's my property. i just have to get into my hands....legally, of course.
