For the front seat springs, you could check at www.transamcountry.com in the "interior" forum. There's an auto upholsterer there named mrpontiac80 who has made some of those springs and was selling them. He may still have some or know where to get more.

Also, you could do a search there for the leaning seat problem. I do remember someone saying something about replacing a plastic bushing and where to get one that will work. And there are other reasons, like bent or cracked metal sometimes.

I do remember it's easy to get the springs/wires too tight and the bottoms will be too firm.

Since you may not have been able to look up mrpontiac80 yet, I'll send him a private message over at TAC and provide him with a link to this thread and see if he will chime in.

One other thing that I just thought of is that I would think any auto upholstery shop that's been in business for at least 10 or 15 years should have experience with how to reconstruct those springs.

Does anyone know what the proper paint code is for the hard plastic interior parts? I tried the local paint store and they couldn't find it. I see some of the restroation companies offer a gray but nothing in their catalog says it is the proper one for the anniversary TA.

Question for you guys...79 TATA manual carbs....17059263 - that carb is not listed in teufert.net, but it makes sense for a 400 manual carb...(17058263 is a 78 manual 400 car).

Anyone got a pic of one? I want to see if the vacuum fittings are the same as the carb I have (want to make sure it is not a restamp).
