I spoke to the guys at Autoinstruments.com this morning. Actually, they called me back twice today, which is a good sign from a business that they actually care about their customers. They said to package it up carefully and send it back and they will honor the warranty and try to see what went wrong. I fedexed it out this afternoon. Now the wait begins!

I checked on the pricing of the repro gauge. The cheapest I could find was at classic industries with their 20% off coupon that is good til 03/31. But I just refuse to purchase anything from them anymore with their obscene shipping charges. Do they really believe anyone is going to pay $32.95 plus $2.50 mandatory insurance to ground ship something the size and weight of a Nerf ball from CA to NJ? Will they ever learn?

BTW, it cost me $11 to ship my gauge back for repair via Fedex!

This is exactly why I will never again but anything from Classic. Incredibly ridiculous shipping rates. I can ship the same things clear across the country from Ames to Western WA. for less money.
