1969 GTO, 455ci, 230/236 Pontiac Dude's "Butcher Special" Comp hyd roller cam with Crower HIPPO solid roller lifters, Q-jet, Edelbrock P4B-QJ, Doug's headers, ported 6X-8 (97cc) heads, TKO600, 3.73 geared Eaton Tru-Trac 8.5", hydroboost, rear disc brakes......and my greatest mechanical feat....a new heater core.

Yeah - a friend of mine back when I lived in Wisconsin was into old Corvettes and had a Corvette ring. I commented to him that no one made a GTO ring.

He was a goldsmith, and promptly said he'd make one for me...

David, IIRC, you either own a jewelry store or are a goldsmith yourself.

I own a jewelry store and if I could "make" jewelry with a 3lb hammer and a torque wrench I'd be a good jeweler...... I know some truly gifted custom jewelers and I'm amazed at what they can turn out. One made a miniature grand piano ring for a local bar singer. Cast it, cut it, pave' set about a million little diamonds on the top of it. He even cut little ivory and onyx keys for it......

No diamonds on my ring. Just 27 small rubies to make the red background around the "GTO".
