Sorry for hijacking this...
I am aware most would like wider. I currently have 235/60-15 on my 15x8 rims. Still looks nice - I think.

just looking from a performance point (going around turns, braking...) of view. Wouldn't the much more modern tire overcompensate for the slight loss in width?

And the short sidewall should help going around turns!
