Default HK Rally II's

Bob and HFR,

Thanks for the info. I bet they are 1980 & '81 wheels since they have the big center unlike the '70-'72's with the 14" wheel center. They were repainted when I got them, rather poorly I might add, so I need to blast them and paint them ala' 1973 colors. Thanks again for solving the mystery. I have the Honeycombs that originally came on the car from the factory, but always like to change the look from time to time. The honeys will be shod with F60-15 Firestone Wide Ovals for show and the Rally II's will have the Goodyear 255R-15 Gatorbacks (I won them as a prize back in the day) for cruizing. They will not have trim rings on them just the brushed center caps.

We need to add HK Rally II's to the wheel list. I imagine they came on Firebird's and Bonneville/Pariseans with teh 4.75" bolt circle. I'll check to see if they had the reverse paint colors like you mentioned HFR.

Thanks again, Dennis

Lucky you, assuming they're not dry rotted.

Try to find a set of 255x15 V-Rated tires today...

So my boss is a total gearhead like most of us and he's telling me about some cars he's owned over the years...and then he hits on this one;
Claims to have bought it from the dealer principal of a Pontiac Buick store in Montreal in '78 or '79 with 18k miles;

Brewster green over saddle SD 4-speed
no hood bird
honeycombs
dealer / owner had an ASC sunroof installed

sold it a year later...
Sound like a car that anyone here knows anything about?

Kieth,

They've been stored in my basement (cool and semi-dry) since 1991. I hope they don't dry rot in that environment. I'm sure if they were out in the elements they would be iffy by now.
