Default 1965 GTO - Rare Car w/special paint

I purchased this 1965 GTO from the original owner in Redwood City,California in 2009. The car was built in the Fremont, California plant. It has 98 percent original paint, except around rear window area. Rear window was removed in 1981 because of water leak resealed and paint spotted in. The only other change are the wheels and tires. I have original wheels, bill of sale, original key bob, car manual and car traded in, etc. The original owner purchased this car to tow a boat because owner had a 1961 Ford Falcon Futura, which lacked the power to tow a boat. This car became a family car and never raced.

Through a lot of research, we found out that the color is 1965 Mustang Poppy Red. John DeLorean painted 12 cars this color as a promotional color for Pontiac, which became Hugger Orange in 1968.

Thought GTO enthusiasts would be interested in this.
