I have done it, but I have also modified my 2 speed shifter to with the Shiftworks kit to get 1-2-3, and also just a slight tap to downshift to 2nd from third.
No modification to the console, and the selector lens still only indicats 2 speeds.

Thanks guy's, that helped a bunch. Now can someone tell me what to do to get rid of the shifter pourch that was originally for the four speed? Without it being replaced, the automatic console will not even fit flat on the floor...

Are there any pictures out there of the tranny hump from an automatic car without the carpet installed so I can tell what it looks like?
