Looks like three sets, Snowflakes, Centerlines, Turbos. Its hard to tell if some of the tires were different on the Centerlines.
Is there a prize ?

nice pics Lloyd, that was a great looking car, I like it best with the snowflakes. Would have been nice if Pontiac had of offered more than the two colors on the early 2nd gen. T/A's

Guess again, and . . . no.

Thanks, Rick.

That car was SO immaculate, it's really a shame that I "bastardized" it by pulling out the A/C, installing a fuel cell, trunk mounting the battery, etc. If I only knew then what I know now . . .

I spent countless hours each fall cleaning it up and polishing everything for the Autorama each year. Dozens of hours flat on my back scrubbing the floor pans, drivetrain and wheel wells. You could literally see your reflection in the orange primer coat!

And the paint - except for the drag strip induced chips behind the rear tires, it was darned near flawless. Spent a fortune on Meguiars products every year, LOL!

Oh, another trivia question, in the last set of pics with my f-ugly mug and the car on a trailer, what in the hell was I towing my rig with?

Close enough, Rick.

1985 GMC S-15. 2.8 V6, 2V, with all of 125 BLAZING HP and a 700R4 trans, LOL! I ordered it with the most gear I could, 3.73 posi, but installed 4.10's shortly after I took delivery.

Amazingly, for such a POS, it didn't do too badly towing except in steep hilly terrain.

You know what was sad, though? I could out pull my buddy when he was towing his Camaro to the track with me. He had a 1985 short box 4x4 chebbie, 305 4V, 700R4 and 3.73 gears. I could outrun him up to about 60 MPH when we were both pulling our cars, LOL!

Just after I sold the truck to a friend, he had to put a trans in it, and I had to overhaul the diff - the pinion and case bearings were SHOT!

Went crazy the other direction when I sold the S-15. Ordered a brand new GMC 3500 dually, 454, TH400 and 4.10's Got all of 9 MPG with that beast, pulling or not!

Off topic, here's a pic. I'd installed 15x8 'vette wheels with the early short 'vette caps and Pontiac trim rings, running P255/60 Eagle GT's.

LOL, Bob - hardly.

She was a hired model for the magazine which was shooting pics of my car, along with a dozen others, the Monday after the Houston Autorama. Can't recall the year, sometime in the mid-eighties.

Cool pictures and story! Cant believe you pulled that kind of weight with that little GMC truck. Those vette rims do look good on her though!

Here's my 75TA

When I saw Llyod's I thought it was his car right away.

Love this car, and I went to the car show last night with the kids, and the attention it gets is great. Especially when I'm coming down with that Rockcrusher whining down through gears. LOL

WOW - I never knew that there was another Buc Red '75 with the early stripes!

Any idea of the history on your car?

Here is mine. Earlier in the thread you'll see that RandyW used to own it. I've got it now and am adding my spin on things. The wheels are next. Going to swap out to a set of regular rally II's with no rings and a BFG with the letters out.

Hi Lloyd,

The car originally from Oshawa Canada.
and sold in Canada.

Originally a 400 Auto. with AC... I converted it to a 4speed. and had the motor done with forged pistons/#62 heads Comp cam, Hooker hedders. etc.

I bought the car with this color combo, and loved it when I saw it.
Had it for 5yrs and Pontiac is truly the King of Detroit Iron.

I really want one of those crate engine that pump 700HP on Pump gas..

OK - no way it's the same car then. Mine was sold new at Cochran Motors in Wharton, Texas

Originally a 400 Auto. with AC.

So was mine. Lame 185 HP, TH350 and 2.56 gears!

The original owner installed #13 1970 heads, 068 cam, 455HO intake, a complete 1974 factory dual exhaust system, TH400 and 3.42 gears.

Shortly after I bought the car I spun a main bearing - freeway racing a Mustango GT. I first installed a tired '71 455HO that I had laying around.

Later on I built a 455SD with ported heads with a 288/296 Ultradyne solid cam, Hooker Super Comps and 4.10 gears.

Ran a best 1/4 mile of 11.80 @ 112 MPH with the SD combination.

Here's mine, a 1974 Formula 455. Picked it up a few months ago and have started the restoration process but, I have a long way to go, as you can see. Luckily it was in the high dessert in California so there is no rust! The TH400 Transmission was gone through previously and I just had the motor redone by Machine Tech in Oceanside. The interior will be my next project after Cliff Ruggles gets my carb dialed in.
