Steve- in your post#3, the '55 Pontiac ad- I don't understand why it shows a six-cylinder and a Powerglide option. Was it an early ad that pre-dated the release of the '55 models?

Bet Winner, Yes! Kern on the left, Craig on the right. There is a Ken too, he owns it now.
Leigh, I do not think that is Jack Chrisman. After seeing these heads, I no longer think Pontiac engineering originally thought up the round port separate, center exhausts. M/T had them 6 or 7 years prior to the Ram Air II and other round ports. Back to pics. Found some more trailers. Now want to find my copy of Long, Long trailer to watch it again. Now, where is it? thanks for the encouragement everyone. Dig 'em out and get them posted. Anything old, ads, personal pics, car pics, boat pics, plane pics, vacation pics, historical pics, most anything. ![]()

I don't thinks so. I don't believe the Canadian Pontiacs were even labelled "Pontiac" in '55 (Laurentian, etc.). Also, since the Canadian Pontiacs were actually Chevrolet chassis, I'm pretty sure the Pontiac V8 wasn't available in Canada.
I can only assume that it's a picture of an early tentative ad produced prior to the car's actual production plans (V8 only).

7O Steve
yeah, I like old trucks too but, am really more of a car/boat guy. Do really like the '57 to '6O Fords. Here is a '58. ![]() I have been building a '59 F35O Dually for some time. Upgrading the entire driveline with a 5.9 Cummins turbo and 5 speed trans. Just the other day I painted the cab and today, had a bunch of friends over to set it back on the chassis. Would post a pic but, not appropriate for this thread. On the wreck, know nothing about it. Here are some more wrecked Pontiacs.. Of course, I own hundreds of these old Pontiacs here, kind of like an orphanage for discarded Pontiacs. Cannot get enough of them but, only go back to '55 and up to '81. V8 years. ![]() ![]()

Steve, any info on the 40 crashed into the pole in your first post? It looks like an Aussie Sloper.
Here are some old Australian Pontiac ads...the new roadster and caravan is pretty cool. The one with the woman aint bad either, (though not as risque as the legroom ad )but I feel like saying to her... "GET OFF THE @#!*DY CAR!!!

The Silverbird wasn't too successful, but man, did it look bad ass. I still have some vacu-formed bodies from the late 70's/early 80's of the Silverbird, for a 1/12 scale radio control race car, 1/32, and HO scale slot cars.
