Over 625 hp I would consider the Forged unit.

A lot of vartiables not mentioned in this post.
Bob weight
RPM
Compression
Block support. flex in the block will contribute to crank breakage.
Race or street has to do with how much a cast crank can take.

I have seen more issues with factory cranks and stress cracking on the journals. That and snapped cranks back in the day when all that was cheaply available was the Factory cranks.
