The idea has worked out well. In Oct '86 my car set the absolute ET record at 6.77. Now were are #4, still respectable. Car has much more in it as my wallet allows. We may take her out in a week or so. Do not want to break the theme and post newer pics here but, there are pics of my 'current', I put 'current' in quotes because I built these close to 1O years back. Anyway, there are pics on my site in interested.

Well, photobucket is down so cannot post anymore right now. Maybe later, time to get some work done, changing the motor in my '66 GTO

Yup, the tired 35O in there now has a rod bearing ticking so cannot put it off any longer. In the 265 goes today. really was holding off to put it in my 61 Catalina coupe but, it is not ready. More on that on the 265 thread in the street section.

Back to topic. Big Jim Dunn aka "Funny Car Summer" with his "Rainbow" car AA/FD. This was his last year in Top Fuel, 1969. He won the Bakersfield March Meet with this car.

If there was ever an effective ad for trailer hitches, this HAS to be it! No rear tires on both cars. Equalizer hitch. If you have used one, you know how good they work. Great ad.

My first big car amp, around 1986/7. Orion 41OO amplifier alone sold for $1,OOO, mounted a 15" dual voice coil sub in the rear deck. GOSH, it sounded so good. This went in the car below 71 GTO 455 HO. Still have everything.

1983, my first car in the 12s. Drove it to work everyday. a/c, p/w, pdl, etc, very overyloaded 455HO GTO. This was the first car that got the stereo treatment. Had a woman turn into me while driving this in '87. Have not driven it since. Did buy a stash of NOS parts to restore her when ready for the Pontiac Heaven museum. This GTO was delivered to the Az proving grounds. My guess it was an executives car as it had so many options.
