Whatever it is, it started life as a 1969 full-size Pontiac. Probably a Catalina or Bonneville - but not a station wagon.

Looks like it mated with a truck topper.

We are thinking along the same lines I think it is a See-Mor cap that somebody worked over. Pretty creative.
