If I was closer, I'd snap that up for that price.

Thanks.
Got a comment about the video - running lean, pop through carb, puff of smoke at the end.
YES - the motor has been broken in for about an hour, but not tuned in - it's been too cold!
It had sat on that stand about 2 weeks before we made that video on a 30 degree day.
It has a Q-jet with no choke - so, yup, it popped and coughed a little while warming up to ~ 140 degrees.
And some hot oil puffed through the valve cover hole when shut off. Even some paint burning still. It all seems pretty normal to me. Sure - you will want to do things to it for your car - but the long block is ready to drop in. Tins, pumps, distributors, carbs - if you can't swap those or torque bolts and adjust rocker arms maybe you shouldn't be buying a motor

I don't get it - buy a rebuilt motor never started or seeing inside it - or one that has proven to run good with oil pressure and compression and not rapping - for a grand!!
Used 400's are near that much....anybody need an engine?

I do need a 400, that's why location suck. Good luck with the sale, it's a steal.
