I have all three. I got an original service manual for 20 bucks at Hershey a few years back. I bought the Fisher body manual and the assembly manual from Ames. Like Money Pits said. Its crappy. Most of the pages are not legible, and the drawings that are, the words aren't. Is the one from YearOne really that much better? I'll look into it. Think they will have it a Spring Carlisle? I might pick it up then. I'd like to get my hands on that index. I bet it would make a world of difference.

I hope to be there soon, if you look close at that last pict. my car has just been soda blasted. Bare metal. Almost got all the metal work done and starting bondo soon.

I keep seeing remarks to the effect that the Year One version is vastly superior to all others. The one I got off ebay is the only version I've ever seen so I can't compare. It is far from perfect but quite usable in my opinion. I'd say I can read about 75 or 80 % of it. I think I paid about $20 for it.
By the way, GTOBOB's index even has notes describing the legibility of the particular pages referenced in it.

ive not seen the "crummy" 69 version, but i have a 70 that falls in line with what the 69 are described as, and it was around 20 to 25 dollars when i bought it.

I will say this, the index that person spent so much time on, doesnt "fit" the 69 assembly manual i just got from YO a couple months ago. FWIW

Fatty.....i dont think YO has parts at shows, at least they didnt when i was going on a regular basis about 10 years ago. IIRC, they only have catalogs and clothing to peddle.

That's good to know.... In my opinion, it's worth the purchase price of the 'poor' quality manual just to get the free index from here that matches it. It's THAT helpful.
