Richard and Cactus thank you both for the offers. Now that I see what they are I will check my parts bin to see if they are in there. If not I will get back with Y'all as I will definitely need them. Again thank you

Not saying his are wrong, because I don't know absolutely for sure mine are correct in the upper location. As said in earlier post I have them on mine, the bolt heads are a bit slimmer and "seem" to fit better in that location than the hex head ones. But like I said I'm not 100% sure that's where they belong. Anyway if you want them just PM your address info to: [email protected]. Good luck with this hurdle and finishing your project to your satisfaction. Rick

Here are a couple more pics of bolts used on the conv. top frame.
The pair on the left with the square shank and the serrated washer are used to attach the top frame to the car body. The pair in the middle are used to attach the cylinder to the car body (two per cylinder). Note that the threaded portion is next to the bolt head, not on the end. As in my previous post, the pair on the right with with the domed hex head and the chrome plating are used to attach the rod to the top frame. I'm certainly not saying that Cactus Goatster has his wrong because I think we all know by now that there can be differences between years, (his is a '66 mine a '67) and assembly plants. This is just how my particular car was done. Some of the bolts holding various parts of my top frame together look to be the same as what Cactus has pictured.

Well another week come and gone. I'll give Y'all three guesses as to what I did to the car and the first two don't count.
I have been working from 8 to 6 every day except weekends and have to do it again next week. They have hired another driver so my schedule should return to normal the following week. I need to call our host and see if they will meet another vendors price on some parts. If they do I will buy from them. I want to thank both Rick and Richard for their generosity. Hopefully I can return the favor or pay it forward. Y'all bear with me and we will get this car finished come h..l or high water.

Well, the only thing I did this week was see which top bolts I wanted. I have made up my mind and will use Richards.
Rick, I will get with you and make arrangements to return yours. I bid on and won a set of re-chromed headlight bezels. They were here in three days and I was very pleased with how they looked until I noticed that they were both for the passenger side! I contacted the seller and he responded quickly, apologizing for the mistake. Seems he sold two sets and inadvertently sent the driver's side bezels to the other buyer. He has promised to make good on the bezels and even offered me a discount on my bumpers.I have sent one of the bezels back to him. I hope everything works out for the best. I feel that I can trust him because he gave me all his contact info and has kept in touch via e-mail letting me know what is going on. I did a test fit on the bezel I kept and it fits perfectly. I will post updated totals when this deal is completed.

I know it's only Saturday but I wanted to post this. I don't know how I did it but I managed to upload a video of my car. Don't pay any attention to the old man narrating it. He didn't have his Wheaties this morning.

I was having trouble following the plot at first but it really came together at the end. I give it two thumbs up!

Are Y'all having any problem downloading the video. When I first posted it I tried viewing and everything was smooth, However, when I looked at it today it didn't run smoothly. It would run then stop then run again.
I apologize if there is a problem. This was my first attempt at videoing and I know nothing about editing. It took over an hour to upload this one to Youtube. I think I know why that happened though. Evidently I recorded in 720P HD mode and that made the file a lot bigger than it could have been.

Nice shop, by the way. I like the 'plate rail' with the cars along the walls.

I need to get a new narrator for my next video. I wonder if James Earl Jones might be available?
I built the shelf out of scraps from other jobs back when I was doing a lot of trim carpentry.

Man where does the time go?! I had to work all week again including yesterday. I did have time to remove the access panel to the right rear quarter glass but didn't get the glass out. I need to look at the resto guide or assembly manual to find out how to do it. I am still waiting on my other headlight bezel but the seller is staying in touch with me so I feel everything will work out.
When I get it I will post pics and tell you where he is located. Y'all have a good Mother's Day.

I did something I haven't done in quite a while yesterday, I worked on the car! I removed the passenger side rear quarter window to replace the glass and found 2 bad rollers. I will probably order 6 and replace both sides. I also polished some windshield trim. I put in a whole two hours on the car!
If everything goes right I may be taking the car to the paint shop in two or three weeks. As soon as my buddie's 57 Chevy is finished we will take mine. They are working on the 57 interior now and then will have to do some minor touch-up to the paint and a final buff, then it will be ready. Here are the latest totals: My labor @ 416 hrs..............$8,320.00 Parts ................................$9.531.48 Outside Labor .....................$6,801.00 Gifts .................................$1,559.87 Total ...............................$26,212.35
