I'm not sure I do, it would be buried in a lot of photos somewhere.

I have the magazines of his car somewhere also.

Reading this thread I saw your post. I assume this is the car you're asking about. It belonged to Barry Mehring and was destroyed in a fire that, if I remember correctly, also took his house. I think he later raced a dragster in one of the old "super quick" series.

I saw the car many times at the old track at Gateway, and have some pics of my own(these are from the oct. 89 issue of HPP) somewhere. You had to see this car in person to appreciate how nice a care it was---the attention to detail was amazing and it ran every bit as good as it looked---mid-high 9's depending on conditions.

Bob Maxey built Barry's motors and intake work.Before the car was burned up Barry ran some 9.40's. Pretty quick back then with all Iron under the hood.Yes he suffered a scary Alcohol fire in his garage while draining fuel out of his tank,and he had a trouble light close buy and somehow it ignited the alcohol fuel. The 68 was a beautiful race car.
