I talk to Jim butler and he says there is no problem with water pump if over heating it is timing or running lean. cooling system is just coolant and air.

I believe there is a 50+ page post that has pretty convincing data to contradict Mr. Butlers theory, plus I have my own data that says adjusting the timing and carb mixtures won't stop the problem I was having with my own 428 in my own stockcar. If that was true why would Detroit have engineers whose job it is just to optimize cooling systems, sorry I don't subscribe to his theory.

Reference to Cardone on this page..... http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...659536&page=12 Post #230.
Paul and I left an 11 bolt pump, divider plate, timing cover with Therese at Cardone, in Philly, so they could be used to solve the 11 bolt over heating problem. I'll find out what is going on with it when I get a call back from them. I should say hopefully get a call back.
