I hate to disillusion some of you guys, but I owned a '76 Grand Prix with a 350 Pontiac/TH400/2.92:1. It was a 2-barrel motor that consistantly delivered 19-21mpg.
I was in my early 20's back then(1985),so that engine was flogged regularly. It NEVER
let me down. It was sold to a neighbor when I bought my '72GP. He was still driving it
10yrs later!
