I talked to the guy today and the '71 350 had water in one of the cylinders

At least he had the decency to call before I made the trip on Thurs.

He has a few others that he's going check for me. No big deal. If worst comes to worst I'll just go full speed ahead on the 455 like I had planned anyway.

What about the other 350 he had???, It wouldn't be much different....

A 400 would be nice...

He doesn't want to let any of the 400's go very cheap. Yeah I could probably find one if I looked, but I have a good rapport going with this guy and he's willing to take partial trades for scrap metal on a 350. He's into demo derby stuff and yanks all the BOP engines when they build a car....which equates to a trailer full of engines. I'm dropping my block off at his buddy's machine shop tomorrow and hopefully I'll get a chance to see exactly what he has up there.
