Happened to me way back in the 70's...a couple of times...always bent pushrods along with it though...and always at high rpm's. Nice "bang" sound too. Performance cams w/stock rockers...risky

Spring pressure, cam lift, slot length for cam lift, 50 year old USED rocker, to name a few.
