What initial timing does everyone run ?
My 72 350 converted to HEI and 4 bbl is set at 12º BTDC and I was wondering if I should go more.
In it's former 2 bbl and Points set-up the specs say 10º BTDC @ 625 RPM.
My old 455 (now defunct) I think I had the initial set at 14º BTDC

I also have a '72 LeMans 350 converted to HEI 4bbl. I run mine at 12* initial. If I run it at 14* it is difficult to start after it gets hot. It doesn't perform any better at a higher initial.
