Go with the Lucerne blue. It looks fine even though it doesn't match the stripe. GM would never had special paint to paint the shakers, not their style.

Certainly makes the most sense.
Ill add, I think that the Lacquer paint, faded, hides some of the metalic at a distance when viewing it.
