Here are some pics of the 64 Norman is painting. The hood and trunk lid are in the process of being buffed and have some hazing on them.

I really love that color,I would have used it if I was able to see it on a finished car.
Can you try to get a pic of the car color in the sun sometime? |

As long as I owe you, you won't ever be broke!
When I go back in about 3 weeks I'll try to get some more. That is a beautiful blue. Here's a picture of his "shop truck". It is covered with dust from buffing the 64 parts. Now , I only need 56 more.

It'll look even better when Norman buffs it out.

Looks like you have made a good choice to paint your 67 vert. One note however, you don't want to have him tape off your trunk like that. You want to get overspray in certain areas in the trunk.

So I should leave the trunk uncovered when it is painted? Should the trunk be splatter painted before or after?

Possibly before, for the areas that will get the overspray. After for the trunk floor and wheel wells themselves that are away from overspray areas. Pretend you're painting around the trunk opening and you'll get the feel for where overspray will be. Actually it would be close to what the primer overspray will be. Just my only.... if it makes any sense.

I always did the splatter paint AFTER the car was painted. From examining all of the original untouched trunks, it appeared this was the way they were done originally. Just be sure to tape off the outside of the car if you do.

Here are some more pics of the 64. The car was ready to go to the alignment shop when the fuse block decided to melt.

The melting '64 fusebox seems to be a more than random occurence. I think it has something to do with the resistor wire getting to hot. Someone else probably knows more about this.
