Makes sense, as the two sheets originated from separate areas of the plant: the one in the seat from the "cushion room", usually in some remote corner of the plant; the one on top of the gas tank from the main assembly line.

Hi Keith, just to clarify, one was under the carpet sound deadener, not in the the seat. Carpet would be installed on the main assembly line, correct?

Ah - yes. That is correct; carpet would be installed on the main line, in the Trim area.

My point is still valid, though (build sheets originated from different areas, hence a different operator handling them).

It would be interesting if others knew where their sheets were located on the car with TAC on them. Most of those posted look like they were in the interior, where mine was on the gas tank (early 70 build Judge).

After looking at the sheets posted again, looks like most of the ones with TAC have the gas tank straps imprinted in them.

I had always assumed they were from above the gas tank.

Cover over the VIN if you need to, or want to.

I've been collecting and comparing 70 and 71 Judge build sheets lately and making some nice finds on little known / hidden aspects of them. Some guys already know everything, that a lot of us would like to know. So its beneficial and rewarding.

71 Judge thread is already going.

Sure Baron, no problem. First pic is of the one from the top of the tank, second is under the carpet, and third is one I typed up using the two of them to get the complete numbers. When you get the 70 Judge thread going, put these in it if you want. Stripes show A, then an AA beside it. The stripes on my car have never been removed or altered, they are yellow/black/red. Hope this helps.
