typical management B.S. diehards go ahead and wait for cardone! but like i said before why wait for Cardone!!!!!! the Flowkooler pump is working out very well and is a quality pump with the cast impeller everyone rants about!!!

I have the Flowkooler and new SS plates waiting to go back into my motor. How did it work out for you with the new SS plates ?

my S.S. plates are about 10 years old and still in good shape! they adjusted to F/K pump perfect, got it to barely touch then checked with gasket, good to go!!!!!! with cap off and stat open there is more coolent flow than ever before!

It's cooler outside now, which helps, but I'm determined to improve my '66 temps before next summer. If Cardone comes through, I'll put in their "correct" impeller 8-bolt and use my old divider plates (unless someone makes correct contoured new plates by then).

If they don't, what do people recommend fits better with the Flowkooler pump...old plates, new SS plates? If the latter, who has replacement plates that work with it, do they require hammering, how well will the contour mate to the Flowkooer impeller, etc? If the old plates, will they require tweaking on contour for the Flowkooler?

Or, does anyone recommend another option?

the adjustment is easy i had to actually tweek it outword a little! never tried to adj. with the original plates. if the F/K pump works as good for you as good as it has for me who cares about cardones correct impeller which in any case you will still have to adjust the internal housing plate, reason being each impeller will set different on the shaft!!!
