You can use them but will need a different head to bring the compression down.

is there a piston I can buy and use the head that I have. I didn't purchase the 389 pistons yet . |

Back in 1999 I purchased low compression pistons from Kanter's for my 1961 4 cylinder motor. Turns out they were the 10.25 to 1 pistons. http://www.kanter.com///productdetai...Cat=32&Prc=362
