A couple more photos are attached.

There is no a/c on the car. The temp sensor is a hard square plastic connector. The one in question is a round rubber connector. I could be way off base, but I seem to remember this wire being attached to the cowl. With that being stated, you would think I could find the male blade for this wire, but I can't. This wire is totally separate. The other wires going to the gen and the temp sensor were tape wrapped. There is a metal bendable wire holder on the cowl. I wonder if this wire is held in place by the holder. The only other wire going that direction is the blue one for the oil sending unit.
