Default Tempest project update

I started this thread in May of 2010 and have been "on and off" working on my project since. The car is now going back together and I hope to drive it this summer. It fits Car Craft Magazine's definition of a rat machine.....plenty of patina with many rebuilt and new mechanical updates. It should be a whole lot of fun driving, as I won't be worrying about scratching it!
The insulation is in, the Scarebird disk brakes are on. and the rear suspension is completed.
The instrument panel is restored and the wiring harness is in. The brake lines and master cylinder, fuel line, and drive train go in next. The bench seat interior goes to the upholstery shop on Feb.1. Much of my progress is due to the information shared on this site.
It is great watching everybody's projects come to completion, whether they are simple changes or wildly, complex fabrications. The information we share about our favorite cars makes this the BEST web site for 61-63 Tempest/Lemans owners.

It's funny that you mention patina becuase thats how I'm doing mine.
The engine compartment the trunk and the uderside will be base\clear
body color all the suspention and motor and interior will be super detailed.
The outside will look like the pictures I've posted. Same as the day I bought
it, I'm getting very excited cause the car is getting very close to be going
back together. This thing is gona have a ton of patina LOL.
