The number of turns doesn't tell you what ratio it is, so you can't tell by that. It's how fast it gets there. For example, a 12.7 constant ratio box(iroc), and the regular variable ratio box, will turn about the same amount of turns, but the constant ratio will be faster off of center than the variable, which is slower off of center, but speeds up the more it's turned.
