I bought a set of Edelbrock aluminum heads from B-man a couple years ago that were brand new in the boxes all packed inside another set of boxes and they showed up perfect and got a real steal of a price as a matter of fact. And to be honest, I didnt have all the cash for them up front so he let me pay him off over the course of a couple of months which he didnt have to do. As far as charging $20 more for an intake than another guy would, who gives a rats ass, keep looking. The deal with deleating posts, well I cant touch on that because I have no clue, maybe thats something that you and he need to discuss amongst yourselves because that seems to be a personal problem. Now you can go back to bragging about your cars again, Im 44 by the way if that helps.

not bragging about cars just telling that they are all original no repop. parts. and good for you with him letting you pay over time i just don't like the fact that i sell 2 intakes for $20 less in one day then he deletes the post because he has the same parts i think thats crap and when people look to see what the prices should be for the parts they get the artifical inflation costs of part flippers.

yeah edelbrock you can't mark up something you can get overthecounter today. not original gto heads also, but hey he worked with you, happy days

The Edelbrocks were a few hundred less than over the counter and came with a set of brand new ARP studs so they were way under price.Look, we all get what your saying and if deleting posts is going on for the reason your saying well thats not cool. As far as selling parts here, I can personally say that it always a crap shoot and timing is everything. I would list an intake for $120 to give some bargaining play because nobody wants to pay for anything, we all want it for free as we are all trying to build our cars and need the cash. I want the most I can get for any part because I gotta get my car done just like you and all the rest of us. I have listed parts on here and NEVER sold them and have seen the same part go for more than I was asking 2 days later because I didnt bump it or the guy who bought it from the othe guy looked 2 days later. Bottom line is, if B man wants $100 and your happy with $80 and a quick sale then just keep pricing your stuff to sell as you are doing and let him take his time and stick to his pricing. But in the mean time you need to contact Bman and work it out. Good luck with it all.

Thats fine and dandy so you need to stop bashing him on the forum then because thats not cool either and that hurts the hobby as well. And now we know why your parts are so cheap, thats good for you. Good luck and as my good friend Paul always says God Bless.

Dodger,
Check here on the sold parts section, it looks like your intake ads were moved there as they should be once sold: http://forums.maxperformanceinc.com/...archid=3342111.

B-man does a great job moderating the classifieds which is pretty much a thankless job. Maybe a pm sent to him instead of blasting away w/both barrels on the forums here would be a better approach.

you must be b-man's friend and all of you sound like your working together to artifically inflate part prices. i've seen some of the ultimate warriors and chief-pontyacers buying up the cheap parts and flipping them for a profit. i only buy parts and restore them and do not mark them up when i sell them. and you get reciepts to show the price of the resto. distributors are a rip off here you can find most of them like 1111970 for $175 and everybody here tries to charge $375-$500 then it's $175 to restore and then shipping. i sold a 1111952 for $710 restored by ignition engeering and people are trying to sell cores for $600 when they buy them for $175-$200 this is crap and it's the reason the industry has a bad reputation.

yes thats good but i want to talk to him in person. he locked my post that shouldn not have been locked and sent me a warning. for telling the truth about some of the ripoff artists on here you people should sell your parts for what there worth and then more cars will get restored than crushed because it's too much$$ to get ripped off on parts that are artifically inflated just so they can make enough money to restore a car they have this is the problem with the industry and it needs to be regulated just like the oil companies.

this is just like the oil companies they just charge as much as they want to and we have no say but to not buy gas. that is the same with these parts and thats why there are cars just thrown together. with whatever parts can be found repop more than original.

why i want everyone that flips parts to make a quick buck to stop they are artifically inflating the price of parts yes i buy dist and alt and restore them but i don't rip people off on the sale and try to get a million dollars for every part.
every alt or dist comes with a warranty and is shipped to the new owner from the resto shop with reciept in their name. i see people selling "restored" parts without a warranty thats crap who did the resto? and what happens if the part works for a month then dies at least with a warranty i give from ignition engeerine you get a 1 year warranty in your name who else does this???

You sold a dist for 700 and yur complaining someone sold an intake for 20 bucks more than u wanted for yours? If you want cheap parts go buy a late model. But then you might be surprised what the dealer charges for junk parts

Yeah I drive out to California once a week to visit my good buddy Bman, I dealt with him once and it went fine. Who cares, just deal with Bman by sending him a pm. This is the 61-77 GTO, Tempest and Lemans used parts for sale section, not your personal wage war on the world section. If you have something to sell, list it and sell it or go to a St. Patricks Day party or something, you have made your point and told us all about your original cars, parts, and how you own land and blah blah blah oil company bs and on and on and on. I dont think your going to out live us all with the rage you have going on there.

Just like you booted gregs2gto2 (if I remember his member name correctly). I'm just waiting for PY to violate my constitutional right to free speech. Then we will see what happens in a court of law PY

It is what the market will bear. I like getting a deal, and I like to sell a part to someone who needs it to fix their car up IF don't need that part or don't think I WILL need that part soon. Recently I viewed an ad for some business equipment (not auto related) that was priced at 110% of new. In other words they had a $110 price tag a late model used piece of equipment that anyone could go buy new for $100. No antique value, just lat model candy cooking devices that are used in my industry. I called the gent with an offer that was generous at 60% of new (higher than the typical 50% in the industry) CASH. He was insulted and angry and simply would not believe me that the materials are on the market for the price I quoted. Perhaps he was rooked and bought them really high and was embarrassed. But nonetheless he still running his Craig's list ad 5 months later and I found a seller to sell the same stuff I needed at 45 cents on the dollar plus truck freight. So the free market is a 2 way street. Best wishes. We may have differences of opinion and argue or haggle, but lets be real.

that was a show quality distributor ready to install with 1 year warranty and i sold it to bill rea and he flipped it for $1000 so what do you think of all these inflators. wrea3 if i remember correctly his member name he has a resto shop and told me that the dist. was for him themn he flipped it. what a bunch of **** this is why people can not restore their cars. i bought a complete 1969wsC149 motor with 1111970 9C20 dist for $2650 lets see you find this price for a complete motor ws ram air 3 and read ITSBACK your just defending your friend and by the way i calm rational and trying to have a discussion with people who want to fight it's like your white trash, by the way i love the picture. are you trying to tell me your all varmints. read ITSBACK
