I had to find the correct crank pulleys to convert my '66 vert to AC. I pulled them from a parts car and it had the rubber ring sandwiched between the two crank pulleys as shown in the pics. It was not just a '67 thing and I agree with "grrowl" who posted previously that they go back at least to the '64 set-ups.

I want to thank everyone who has posted on this issue.
I may try to fashion one out of rubber or look for a substitute. I may just put it together without it. Anyway, thanks again everyone. I hope we all have learned a little on this minor subject. Mike. |

Bringing an old thread back to life.
Were you able to find a replacement O ring for this set up? I have a '67 engine in the shop now & doing some of the detailing on it. While the o ring is there, it's starting to split. I hate to take it out only to find none available. |
