And some more engine shots. The car had the unitized ignition originally (along with five years of dealer repair work orders attempting to fix the "no start" problem related to these units). An HEI was swapped in in the 1980s.

I have started gathering A/C parts but will need some of the small A/C line brackets, a correct POA valve and the correct housing to firewall bolts. At least the unique 455HO A/C brackets are still intact.

I'm going to drive it this summer and get the bugs out. While I'm doing that I'll locate body parts. I need to find trunk drop offs and possibly right side inner wheel wells, or maybe a rust free rear clip to cut parts from.

I'm catching up slowly on here.

Wanted to say what a damd super awesome Formula you scored Steve !
Massive list of equipments, and the right colors, with a cog swapper in the tunnel.

I'd have shetteded in my britches right then and there if i had been the one who found it in the widows garage. I mean really made a mess.
I'm talking a shovel and a bucket and a mop to clean up.

Congrats !

After a whole lotta research I was able to locate some Canadian documentation and pricing. Canadian window stickers are the rarest pieces of paper in the universe. They were completely different than the US counterpart. The form is different, the prices were higher and most dealers removed them from the cars before the sales since there was no Monroney Law in Canada like there was in the US.

Here is an example of a 1972 Corvette window sticker that was photographed along with a bunch of Corvettes at an Ontario, Canada dealer lot in 1972:

And here is my final reproduction version. In Canadian dollars, too.

PHS tried valiantly to create a window sticker but after the third attempt I had them just send me what they had. The problem was that cars destined for Canada had a different pricing structure and verbiage format. And PHS's template must be from a different date than this car's build time frame. Templates changed as the calendar year progressed.

In 1972, to boost sales, the Firebird base price dropped in the US, but in Canada it remained at its prior level (several hundred dollars higher), so I had to edit and redo the sticker to fit that.

Also, there didn't seem any way that their template format would create the two page sticker that the car should have. As you can see, the standard equipment paragraph is missing. So here is my best attempt at a corrected US version of the sticker for the car, in US dollars.

As far as I can determine, when the cars went down the Norwood, Ohio assembly line, the US version of the sticker would be attached to the car. When it arrived across the border, GM of Canada would remove that sticker and replace it with their version, in their format, in Canadian dollars.

Prices on this sticker are estimate of a US Sticker?
Example: I show the WU3 was $57.93 , yours is $56.00 ( even amount which is odd)
V32 was $15.80 , yours is $ 25.00 (Even amount again)
K65 was $78.99 , yours is $ 77.00 ( even again)( you are lower here)
LS5 was $236.97, yours is $ 231.00 ( even again)
Y99 was $ 89.52, yours is $ 87.00
Prices circa DEC 1971
Shouldn't the US sticker be just as all others, and the Canadian Sticker show how they screwed em on price?( ie higher prices)

Very good point, Bruce. That was another of my problems with the repro - the prices were not correct. The one I posted above had some of my alterations, such as adding the $159.00 destination charge which was shown as $0.00 on the repro.

If you just happen to have a list of the correct prices for the US options I'd love to have them to revise this sticker.

Also in 1972 Pontiac dropped the price of the Formula to $3,221 in the US but kept it at $3,453 in Canada, at the 71 price level, so I had to revise that as well.
