Hi guys, Going to remove my water pump and check impeller clearance this summer. Don't know if I will find a stamped or cast impeller on the pump. I understand if it is a stamped impeller, I should replace it with a pump that has a cast impeller. I know Cardone has made efforts with this problem but are all the Cardone Select New pumps that I can currently buy up to speed? Would I be better off buying a Flowcooler 8 bolt waterpump from our sponsor? I'm not trying to "cheap out" here, just want to do the job once. Thanks in advance for your help!

I would purchase a cast impellar pump. The key is the clearance.

Do you know if all the new Cardone pumps have cast impellers? I hear that Cardone is the brand to buy.

I don't know. I just went to the local auto parts store and had the guy bring out rebuilt pumps until he brought one with a cast impellar.
