pretty easy to replace, I did mine when the actual dash (above the 3 central AC vents) cracked
I got a newer one off of ebay.
Now I make sure to take care of it with plasticizers and sun shades

the stuff to protect plastic, be careful, some of them can make them look all glossy/shiny, but can actually dry them out worse
