Steve,
You probably intend to keep the car original, and if so, then repairing your existing rod(s) is probably the way to go. But if you intend to drive the car regularly you might want to consider going with the aftermarket rods from speed direct. My linkage rods were worn out just like yours so I went with the aftermarket stuff, and it's the best seventy bucks I spent. It was an easy install and can be changed back to original easily. The replacement rods have heim joints and the clutch operation is so smooth now that it feels like a hydraulic clutch. Chris |

Sure, I can use all that stuff! The condensor, the expansion valve, the various little retaining brackets, etc. Even the AC harness if it is intact since mine is missing some of the wires (melted/cut). Where in NY are you? I could come out with the truck and pick it up.

Steve,
I've got a 73 Esprit with A/C that I'm just about to start parting - if you want to take the **** off you can have it! Chris

I really appreciate everybodies offers! Do you have a photo of the A/C firewall housing? I do believe the condensor may mave been different once they started using that giant one-piece octopus crimped A/C line setup.

Some of it's rusty, but complete and untouched.

I got the new heater core installed and the box is back in the dash again. I can never understand how something can drop out so easily but take so much finagling and manhandling to get the darn thing back into the car. It took over an hour to figure out the exact angle and turns to get the heater box back under the dashboard.

Hijack! Boss, I knew that was coming when I saw the still shot. You should strip that puppy down before the weather damages more good parts.
Back to you, Steve. |

Jim, that's funny!
Once you've done a couple it's like riding a bike....although having A/C involved makes the work exponential!
