I'm making 1 more push for the '61 215 car before my AZ trip. I'm out after that.

At 95K, yes the motor will need work. With all early aluminum blocks corrosion is the major issues. These motor did not last very long without some type of corrosion control. I have 2 of these motors. One is a correct Pontiac 162P motor and another is a late 62 Buick. The Pontiac is clean and has minimum sealing surface issues caused by corrosion. The Buick is in rough shape. The front cover is pitted so back you can see the water trails on the block. The corrosion has removed at least 40% of the water jacket areas. Good for parts only.
At least by the pictures Keith took, I didn’t see any tell tell corrosion signs on the motor. Hopefully the insides are as clean! BUT even at that it will take a full rebuild and those are not cheap! I hope the guy gets what he needs, but trying to finance his next buy on the sale of this one isn’t going to happen. I think “his” Pontiac expert is blowing smoke up his @$$!

So,,looks like they took out the standad radio & installed a push button one. Then put the standard radio back in the push button box. Its a bit pricy in my book!

Is there a car that goes along with the radio for that kind of money?

I have one that's at 110k and the numbers look straight. If we only knew someone with a car that's been around the block more than once....

Me!!! Left hand on the wheel coming out of the canyon on the switchbacks, right hand had the camera!!! Almost missed the shots, was a lot of traffic & forgot it was turning 500K. Just shoved it down in the wheel & started snapping pictures!!
