I thought my engine builder took long. I waited almost 2 years to get my engine back but I think your painter has him beat.
Is your paint shop a bonafide business?

Yes, he owns a certified business but he is also a friend and that is where it gets sticky. I trust him but I want my car even if I can't completely finish it right now.
