He sold you a 68 block because you were both too dense/lacking to know its not a 69 block.
Now he's blowing smoke in your trunk to cover the deed.
You bought the block, so no wonder you're buying his explanations too.
If you put a 66 WS 389 engine into a 69 TA, its still a 66 WS 389.
And the 68 WS, is still a 1968 WS - even if its in a 79 or 89 TA.

#1 - Remember that Oct 69 timeframe, and hang on a minute.

#2 - So why did you just buy only the block if he has the whole engine from the wreck ?
Clarify and identify if other pieces exist.

#3 - Some (very few) cars, PHS has no data in archive.
Did you actually contact PHS ?
Please clarify

October 1969. okay
Delorean went to work for CHEVROLET in February 1969.
So ... he left Michigan 9 months later, traveled out to California, to visit a PONTIAC dealership, to hand the keys over to the owner of a recently serviced PONTIAC, while employed by CHEVROLET. Because Pontiac helps People.

dude

i mean really

And what does it matter about no smog equip in 68 and 69 Ponchos when it involves warranty repair of a 69 ? This is all a crock of scatterbrained nonsense. If a Pontiac dealer were to install a new engine in a 69 TA even in 2005, it still would not require smog equip to be installed.

SteveD needs a secretary.
I need a high speed internet.
Not putting in many hours on the internet for past while.

Man there has been a ton of good stuff popping up all over the forum sections in past couple of months. Will take me a week or two to post in all the things i found browsing.
